Graduate student Ravi Kiran Yellavajjala received 2014 O.H. Ammann Research Fellowship

Ravi Kiran Yellavajjala, graduate student in CPSSL group,  received the prestigious  2014 O.H. Ammann Research Fellowship in Structural Engineering from the Structural Engineering Institute of ASCE. The fellowship is awarded for his research entitled “Damage Models for Collapse Studies in Steel Buildings”. As a part of his graduate studies, Ravi is working with his advisor Dr. Kapil Khandelwal to develop numerically robust yet computationally efficient mathematical models for simulating the damage in steel structures under extreme earthquakes.
