Geotechnical aspects to the revitalization of the former Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Arthur J. Alzamore, Jr., PE, LEED AP

Mr. Alzamora is a geotechnical engineer with the New York Office of Langan Engineering and Environmental Services. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of New York and a LEED Accredited Professional, with over 13 years of experience working on various geotechnical engineering projects in the metropolitan area.

Mr. Alzamora has been involved in a number of projects in the New York City Area, most notably including the Ferry Terminal at Ellis Island, Renovation of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, the U.S. Embassy, Moscow, Russia; just to name a few. Mr. Alzamora has also been involved with numerous design and construction projects for large scale residential projects and design and construction of buildings adjacent to Transit Authority Subway Tunnels.

In addition to Mr. Alzamora’s work at Langan also serves as the President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Met Section YMF. In addition to ASCE, Arthur is involved with a number of other professional organizations including the Deep Foundation Institute, the Urban Land Institute, and the ACE Mentoring Program. Arthur also participates in various charity and fund raising organizations, like The Alliance for Lupus Research and NYRR Team for Kids, just to name a few.
