Notre Dame is a wonderful place to develop intellectually, professionally, personally, Kerr, Lizand spiritually. There is a lot happening in the Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences (CEEES) Department, and we would like to share our enthusiasm of the civil and environmental engineering and earth sciences professions with you.

Civil and environmental engineering professionals serve society through the design, construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of infrastructure and through protecting the environment, improving public health, and treating air and water pollution on local and global scales to ensure a high standard of living.  Earth scientists quantify the geologic processes that affect the human environment by understanding the chemistry and physics of the Earth.

As a student in the CEEES Department, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a hands-on undergraduate experience that involves in-depth field trips, undergraduate research programs, service projects, and national and regional undergraduate project competitions.

Use the navigation panel on the left to learn more about opportunities and requirements in the CEEES Department.
