This presentation will discuss Eric’s career path as a bridge engineer for Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers and highlight a few unique and challenging projects he has had the opportunity to work on, with the focus being on the Bayonne Bridge Deck Replacement in NY/NJ and the Selmon Expressway Extension in Tampa, FL.

Eric Herbert is a Structural Bridge Engineer at Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers, where he has designed and analyzed bridges of varying complexity, type, and size across the country for both preliminary and final designs. He has also spent time on-site serving as the engineering representative during construction. This, coupled with his design experience being rooted in the design-build delivery method, has given Eric an enhanced perspective on constructability considerations and concerns during both the design and construction phases. Eric has also served in leadership roles in SEI Colorado, is a member of the SEI Young Professionals Committee, co-authored the 2020 ASCE Colorado Infrastructure Report Card, and is an Expert Panel Member for CROSS-US.
