Professor Thrall investigates the behavior, design, and optimization of kinetic civil infrastructure, using analytical, numerical, and experimental approaches. Her research involves kinetic civil infrastructure such as bridges, shelters, and buildings including modular systems that are rapidly moveable, erectable, and deployable.
